Recipes to Try

Some great easy meals from Real Simple...looks like they were taking some Bulgarian inspiration.
  • Yogurt, Dill, Walnut Dip
    Combine yogurt, garlic, walnuts, dill, and kosher salt. Serve with vegetables to dip. Or fried zucchini.
  • Warm Feta Spread
  • Heat olive oil, diced red pepper, and garlic. Pour over crumbled feta. Serve with cucumbers and pita triangles. Source.
  • Carrot Soup

  • Orecchiette with Roasted Broccoli and Walnuts
    Roast broccoli, walnuts, oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in the oven for 18-20 minutes (or til broccoli is tender), turning once. Combine with Orecchiette or other short pasta, butter, and 3/4 cp of the pasta cooking water. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Source. [tried -- came out ok.]
  • Polenta Pizza
    Cook polenta (not instant). Pour into baking dish. Top with pizza toppings (e.g., mushrooms, roasted red peppers, olives, arugula) and mozzarella. Bake for 30 minutes. Source.
  • Dumpling Salad
    Need: dumplings or potstickers, shallots, edamame, giner, watercress, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce. Source. [tried -- delicious]
  • Broccoli and Gruyere Gratin
    Need: 2 heads of broccoli, 1/2 stick butter, flour, whole milk, 8 oz Gruyere, salt and pepper. Source.
  • Blackened Salmon
    This looks surprisingly easy...Make with Broccoli and Gruyere Gratin? Source.
  • Spinach-Zucchini Soup
