Southern Pecan Pie - Mama Dips (modified)

Preheat oven to 350F.


1 stick butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
1 cup light Karo syrup (corn syrup) - reduce slightly
3 eggs, beaten -- reduce to 2 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
1 9-inch unbaked pie shell

In saucepan, melt butter, but do not brown. Mix sugar in warm saucepan with butter and corn syrup until sugar dissolves. Stir in eggs once butter mixture is cool. Mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour into the pie shell and bake for 1 hour.

Better if chilled for one day. I do not recommend using this recipe.
